The 2026 FIFA World Cup In Dallas TX

The 2026 FIFA World Cup In Dallas TXThe 2026 FIFA World Cup will bring unprecedented global attention to Dallas and the North Texas region as the area prepares to host one of the world’s largest sporting events. As one of the official host cities for the tournament, Dallas is expected to become a major international destination for soccer fans, media, tourism, and entertainment during the summer of 2026 (June 14th – July 14th).
AT&T Stadium in Arlington will serve as the centerpiece of World Cup activity in North Texas. Known internationally for its massive size, modern design, and advanced technology, the stadium was selected to host nine matches during the tournament, more than any other venue in the United States. The schedule includes group-stage matches, knockout-round games, and a highly anticipated semifinal match that will place Dallas at the center of the global sports spotlight.
The significance of the World Cup extends far beyond the stadium itself. The event is expected to create a major economic impact throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Hotels, restaurants, retailers, entertainment districts, and transportation services are preparing for an enormous increase in visitors from around the world. Millions of people are expected to travel through North Texas during the tournament, creating opportunities for local businesses and boosting the region’s international visibility.
Dallas has long been recognized as one of the country’s fastest-growing metropolitan areas, and the World Cup will further strengthen its reputation as a world-class destination for sports, business, and entertainment. The region’s modern infrastructure, central location, major airports, and extensive hospitality industry made it an ideal choice for FIFA. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, will play a key role in welcoming international visitors arriving for matches and related events.
The World Cup is also expected to energize the local soccer community. Soccer has experienced tremendous growth throughout North Texas over the past several decades, especially among youth athletes and international communities. FC Dallas, headquartered in Frisco, has helped develop the sport’s popularity across the region through professional competition and youth development programs. The arrival of the World Cup is expected to inspire even greater participation in soccer among young athletes throughout Texas.
In addition to the matches themselves, Dallas is expected to host fan festivals, cultural celebrations, concerts, and public viewing events throughout the tournament. Entertainment districts across Dallas, Arlington, Frisco, and Fort Worth will likely become gathering places for fans representing countries from around the world. The tournament will create an atmosphere unlike anything the region has experienced before, combining international culture, sports, music, food, and entertainment on a global scale.
Transportation improvements and public safety planning are already becoming priorities as local officials prepare for the event. Traffic management, rideshare coordination, public transit options, and security operations will all play important roles in handling the large crowds expected during the tournament. The World Cup presents an opportunity for North Texas to demonstrate its ability to successfully host major international events at the highest level.
As anticipation continues to build, the 2026 FIFA World Cup represents more than just a soccer tournament for Dallas. It is an opportunity to showcase the region’s growth, diversity, hospitality, and global appeal. With world-class facilities, passionate sports fans, and an international audience watching, Dallas is positioned to become one of the defining host cities of the 2026 World Cup.  See match schedules here:  2026 FIFA Dallas Match Schedules
